In Dixit, the pictures are revealed and only one of them is the answer.
Each player at his turn plays the storyteller. He is given a single picture, while the other players get a hand of six pictures.
The storyteller says a sentence or a word connected to his picture, then each player chooses one of his pictures to bet upon. All pictures are showed face up, and every player have to bet upon what picture was the storyteller's.

The winner of the Spiel des Jahres in 2010, Dixit is a game for the imaginative family. It's very simple, each player takes a turn at being the storyteller, they make up a clue based on one of the picture cards in their hand. All other players give the storyteller a picture card (without revealing the card to other players). The storyteller then lays all these cards on the table and players use tokens to bid on which card they think was the original storyteller card. Talk it out! State your case! Misdirect or help each other. If either nobody or everybody gets the right answer, the storyteller gets no points. The trick is to give a clue that only some people will understand. Let the mind games begin!
Dixit is great for kids and adults to learn to visual comprehension and to construct creative stories. It's also great for learning to assess others. Simple to learn, simple to play, lot's of fun. Every family should own a copy of Dixit.
